Welp, #45 has one more reason to add to his jealously over former President Barack Obama. According to reports, the block where Trump Tower is located could be renamed—and it’s all thanks to a petition that is garnering massive support.
It’s no secret that people love Barack Obama now just as much as they did when he spent eight years in office as POTUS, which is why the new petition started in his honor should come as no surprise. As reported by @vibemagazine, over 100,000 people have signed a petition to rename the popular Manhattan block where Trump Tower is currently located to that of former president Obama.
Elizabeth Rowin reportedly created the MoveOn.org petition as a joke, but quickly realized there were many others who supported her idea. She also admitted while speaking with other media outlets that she’s received a response from “several” city council members who also showed interest in renaming the city block.
Acknowledging that one of the conditions to renaming a street after someone in New York City is that the person must be dead, Rowan had this to say:
“I am sure the conditions can be changed. There are two streets in LA named after former President Obama. These laws are arbitrary and can be worked around.”
If Rowin’s change proves to be successful, then the address of any building between 56th and 57th streets and Fifth Avenue would be changed, including Trump Tower’s address, to 725 President Barack H. Obama Ave.
We’re sure Trump is getting his Twitter fingers ready to comment on the situation at any moment.
Roommates, what do you think about this?
